Bryan Hill, RMT

What people say...

I thoroughly enjoy Bryan's gentle approach, focusing on breathing, correct postures and holding the postures for a period of time. There is a flow to the class and a chance to enjoy a chat and a delicious cup of herbal tea afterward.

I wish to say that Bryan's yoga classes are great!! He makes yoga feel challenging yet supportive and calming all within one class.

- MaryAnne, Courtenay BC

I read Bryan's bio on the Saltspring Centre of Yoga website and I knew from what he wrote that I would like his classes. Bryan is knowledgable, gentle, funny, organized, gracious and sincere in his teaching and practice of yoga. I enjoy how Bryan weaves yoga philosophy into each class. Also, I appreciate the importance of alignment and Bryan's knowledge of the the physical body. This has meant I have deepened my asana practice. We always end each class with a cup of tea! I'm excited, as I get to go to outdoor yoga tonight in his beautiful garden!

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is an ancient system for increasing self-awareness. The physical postures of hatha yoga help to strengthen core muscles and bring flexibility to the body. Hatha Yoga uses experiential learning of the physical body to bring the mind into alignment with reality. With regular practice the postures help to improve flexibility and balance. Concentration upon the breath provides a meditative focus allowing students to take their hatha yoga practice to a deeper level. The postures are approached with an attitude of compassion and patience. Hatha yoga students work to their own ability and respect injury.
